Childhood Revisted! =D

Well, I've got to be honest, I kinda took the last two days off because I found a list of children's television shows from the eighties on YouTube. Whole episodes! There's nearly everything...The Muppet Babies, Transformers, Hanna Barbara cartoons, there's even one of my old favourites I didn't even remember the name of, called, "Visionaries." (I had one of the hologram toys as a kid, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.)

They even have "Gem!" You know, that 80s girls band that had more drama than the OC and ER combined? Wow, I watched an episode of that, and it took me back. It was like a mix of a Tina Turner music video and Saved by the Bell. Terrific. Anyways, check out the list if you like.

Hey, I remember Visionaries! We didn't have cable or satellite back then, so we had to rent them from the local TVS (remember that chain of video stores?) when they came out with the occasional video with three or four episodes (long before the days of season-long DVD collections.)

And Captain Power too, CP is my all-time favourite kids show, unfairly cancelled after only one season. Actually, it's not really a kids' show, but they had to market it that way in order to please their sponsor, then Mattel cut their funding off anyway. Plus certain parent-groups didn't like the idea of a show where children could use their action figures to participate in the action by shooting at the screen during battles and scoring points for every enemy robot destroyed. Maybe they have CP too (goes to check out this website...)

Caitlin, thanks for the spell-check. I thought it looked out of place when I was writing it.

Ah,yes, He-Man and She-Ra. Good ol' Sheera, she always had that huge sword, and never stabbed anyone with it. Does anyone else remember the He-Man movie?
