A year in the life of 33...looking back

You know, this year has been filled with some ups, and some downs, and some in-betweens.  I thought it would be nice to capture what I did since turning 33.

Work:

-Me and a team member won a $10,000 grant for a project concept we worked on against 800 other applicants
-I project managed 3 projects over $10,000
-I covered my job and covered my colleague's medical leave
-I pitched a concept for funding
I worked on a very cool communications project, which is almost here!  Whew!

Life:
 -Went many cool places, this was a year of travel.  (I might have to cut back this year for the sake of my budget!)
 -Thought a lot about the future
-Made several new friends!
-got to go to Vancouver for work, and managed to visit and reconnect with family that I love


Had some great brunches

Saw Robert once

Reconnected with Kim (I love Kim!)

Saw my sis from another miss

Reconnected with my beautiful cousin, Lisa

Made a not-so-beautiful painting

Saw some amazing art in Rome

Also saw some amazing architecture

Had an epic onsie party!


Spent important time with the most beautiful woman I know...my mom.

Helped Karl move into his new apartment

Went to a friendly Xmas party

Reunited with one of my very good friends, Eva!

Brittany stopped by!  We got rained on by wine here. :(

Had a guys night out

Raised $1,000 for my hospital

Found some great lighting

Visited with Robert and Sven

Helped friends celebrate birthdays
Taught Alex how to ski

Went hiking

Made friends with a giant duck

Went to a blue jays game with my mom and dad

Took them to a wildlife reserve

Met my cousin, Pernille, from Denmark

Had a beautiful dinner in Grona Lund (Oh Teddy!  Why didn't we take a photo with you?)

Watched Hamlet live in Denmark

Visited the Queen's castle in Sweden

Visited the ABBA museum and had the best time of my life

Saw some awesome viking ships

Reunited Tyler with a high school friend


Took a great photo

Saw the eclipse

Won a stuffed toy from the CNE (Goodbye, $20!)


Had a great birthday party
It was a great year, if not quite what I was expecting.  Looking forward to 34!
