Acting jobs

I have been looking into acting jobs again (for fun, for the most part, no pun intended) and I am starting to think that all those Ms. Marple's searching for the next big thing don't quite understand human nature as well as they should. Here are some titles of job postings for actors that have made me scratch my head lately:

-Are you a diet junkie? Get paid to tell your story!
-Have you sent your child to fat camp or are proud they're large?
-Do you love your breast implants?
-Casting call in Toronto for documentary Triumph over tragedy stories needed!
-Did you lie to get married or threaten to reveal a secret to get wed?
-Did you report your brother/cousin to police?
-Has your boyfriend left you for a man or had a fling with a man?
-Have you been shot in a pub or nightclub?
-Did you give birth in a pub or nightclub?
-Does you child have a remarkable wacky skill?
-Were you on the plane which crash landed at Heathrow?
-Male Go-go dancers needed ASAP in Canada
-Have you ever tried DIY at home cosmetic surgery?

And my personal favourite:

Have you had a bad experience with supermodel Janice Dickinson?

Needless to say, I think there is a lot more bad tv than any of us are aware, really.

Driving With Martin

I am helping Martin learn to drive.

Only 95% of this is true.

...Sadly.

Enjoy, and there is more in the planning for cartoons and posting stuff.

How to Escape

While working on something this evening, I found a bunch of interesting escape sites, maybe you will like them:

how to escape from a bear

how to escape from a sinking car

how to escape corportate america

and my personal favourite,

how to escape from getting a PhD

Of course, this wouldn't be complete without a way to escape

micro-car attacking ninjas on rollerskates

I hear it's kind of a big deal.

Football Canada, part two

Well, they decided to still keep SK disqualified...so this will probably create a lot of bad blood between provinces over this now, and my mom and some of the other parents are talking to lawyers now because technically what F.C. did was really, really messed up.

As far as I can tell, Sports Council people are really the same like this, they're great people until you want them to actually do the work they were hired to do. Crazy, but usually true. (I have met some stunnning counter-examples, but unfortunately it's the minority that proves the rule)

Cartoon up when I am 'back.'

Football Canada

Hey Guys,

My brother's team might be disqualified from playing the gold medal game, the team fined $1000 because they have ineligible players, which the other team ratted to Football Canada about. This wouldn't be a problem if:
  • Team Sask hadn't been honest about it and had a verbal agreement that this was alright
  • that it says specifically in the rules that Football Canada is supposed to specifically check to make sure that all the team players are eligible, and that people here are blaming Team Sask
  • that Alberta, who complained, had a tape of team Sask which they were not allowed to have, but Football Canada has said, "Oh well, it was just a mistake." Hypocrites, much?

A lot of what I have learned about being here is that Sports Council people are the same all the way up--they're stupid and they'll do anything to make themselves look not that stupid. I wish I had a lot of better things I could say, but at every turn the Football Canada people have said the wrong thing and done the wrong thing, and violated their own rules, which is absolutely unbelievable to me. Stay tuned for the news...

Poke, poke

No, my blog isn't dead yet. But I almost am.

Russ and Dez are getting married tomorrow, and then I leave at 6am on Sunday to fly to Quebec to hang out with my family. Should be the equivalent of fun and scary.

Anyways, I found this really cool site called Pokemyname.com which is a site for names, which shows how popular a name is, and what words are the 'arithmetic buddies' with you name. (for example, with Brennan, my 'buddies' are Debonair, Suave, Genteel, Godsend, Becoming, Dependable, Giving, Gleeful, Goofy, Poetic, Poised, Tiny, Gleaming...and I like all of them except 'tiny.') Apparently my name fights for a spot between vaughan and lleewellyn at place 2380...who knew???

I still have to finish writing my best man's speech tonight. Sigh.
