Scariness

I just finished watching two of the three Omen movies...they're about the rise and the fall of the antichrist. Interestingly enough, my friend Nick tells me they're made by a born again Christian of some sort. I'm glad I didn't see the first one, which was apparently scarier...I already had angst problems about the two we watched. (Scary.) The special re-release DVD folds out into a cross, which is pretty neat...that was probably my favourite part. My least favourite part was when I said, "Well, the Bush Administration thinks crying is a sign of weakness. Do YOU want to be like the Bush Administration, Corey?" This was, as Kristin says, one of those moments where your humour escapes you, and you can't stop thinking how funny you are, even when it's not funny anymore. Also, no one else who was there knew that President Bush Sr. used to think/still probably does think crying was a sign of weakness...anyways, I almost offended my most gracious American host...Until I told him it was in a Simpsons episode. Nothing like TV to make things ok again. He also lives in a very nice apartment, and he a KILLER home entertainment unit.

We also talked about evil because that's what the American host (Nick) is doing his MA thesis on (Like me, only on a different thinker), so that was SUPER fun. Although I think it bored everybody else. Yay philosophy! =D Well, I think it was ok, since we only talked about it for about two or three minutes, then let it drop. Also, I did apologize for talking shop, so I guess that's ok, right? I really hate doing that, though, especially when I have told myself that I refuse to think about philosophy until at least...Thursday...um...which is...today. Dang it. Oh well. So...it's late. I should go. OK, well, until later. =D

Yes, until later Brennan. Until "answer at 12pm EST on Thurdsay" later. Until later indeed...

But speaking of humour, go here for some good humour from a Philosophy grad student:
