Life's funny like that, you know? Well, needless to say, my drain works now, and I learned a valuable lesson about plumbing. Or something.
I couldn't fix it without calling the landlord, but it turned out ok. =D He was really nice about it, which made me super happy, and I suppose I shouldn't have been so worried in the first place.
The guy who came to fix it, Maurice, was also a nice guy. (I think he's my landlord's cousin or something.) I also learned what I should have done if I had wanted to fix it myself, although my idea wasn't totally off. (Well, maybe a little and/or a lot.) He wished me a nice weekend, and he was nice enough to chuckle at my lame joke that I made! Yay!
Anyways, I'm sure my family will have many things to say to me about my attempts at being 'handy.' (Of which they've had the joy of experiencing and trying to talk me out of numerous times.) It's all about the learning. I don't want to be an academic yuppie for the rest of my life, you know? I want to be able to KNOW why things are broken, who can THEN phone the proper person and I will KNOW when I'm having the wool pulled over my eyes by whatever particular repair man that is trying to sell me something I don't want...because I know that my family will laugh at me if I ever attempt to do anything requiring tools and/or whenever I get swindled by trades-people.
And I ALSO know that if I'm lucky, I will live close enough to members of my family that I can just call THEM, and they can fix it for free! =D =D =D Well, you know, one can dream. Anyways, I hope you all have a good day, I'll probably post something in about four days. I have some work to do until then. Later! =D

Brennan, your stories are always the best. And that cartoon just solidified it. Mario and Luigi? Brilliant!
In related news, Sean, the guy on MuchMusic VJ Search who reminded me of you (he looked like you, talked like you, but was way more flamboyant) came in second place in the finale today. I was so pissed off. Not that I really cared, but he was beaten by the wild-card, Tim, who was just a pretty-boy with a forty-word vocabulary. But of course, he was going to win. Why? Because he's a hot guy. I wanted to see the "first openly fabulous" (Sean's words, not mine) VJ, but instead, Tim won.
Damn them.
Wow, all I have to say is...I talk like that? Man, somebody fix my voice box. That man is campier than than a row of tents! LOL. He was funny in his own way, (I suppose people say that about me. Hm.) but I literally couldn't listen to his audition anymore once he started talking about Celine Dion. Seriously, it was like someone ran 'It's raining men' through a cheese-grater and left off the leg warmers. Anyways, hopefully I will have better job prospects than this Sean guy, since the last job he had was Roger's Video Shift Leader. Rough.
Although I probably wont. ;)
Wow, that Tim guy really is dumb. GEEZ, the competition...I can't believe how lame these people are...ew. You know, you think it would get better the more they do this competition, but it seems to get worse. Sheesh.

Hilarious! I thought I was the only inept handyman I knew. Handyman?! DO you remember that character from "In Living Color"?
No, but I DO remember that clown from that show. Man, he was crazy. I love In Living Colour, though. I thought it was pretty funny.
Brennan, lately my comments arw not working of course if your seeing this then nevermind. I just wanted to say that if philosophy dose not work for you that you should do your own commic strip!
Hey, thanks Russ, I'll definitely think about it! =D
As for the comments...I know...mine haven't been working that often, either, thank you for the compliment, though.
