Well, that's it.
I finished my application to Villanova University, so that's one big thing off my plate.
My finals are finished (kind of, long story, not worth leaving on the internet to be found) and I am working all this week and next, I think. I'm very busy, but my 'quality of life is high,' as Ralph would say. The last letter and last set of transcripts were sent, and I while I don't think I'll get in, I AM very glad I tried. No one can say I didn't try my best in that respect, so peace to that. =) That means the disappointment will not be huge if I don't get in, because unlike last time, I didn't rest everything on getting into a school this year. Plan Bs (no pun intended) are still at large. My boss really wants me to stay and teach English here, and I'm tempted to do that, and learn some languages myself in the process. Besides, Belgium's an interesting place to live, isn't it?
I have no idea what I'm doing next year. Although this week is dedicated to searching plan B's since deadlines are forthcoming for jobs in Canada for next year (and some have already passed, alas) but it's fine. I'm trying to be very Zen about this and not look at life outside of university as some gaping hole or void of death, as difficult as that is. Granted, I haven't even finished my master's, so what's the beef, right? But, that's the life of acadamia...being able to do things hundreds of days in advance, and yet still manage to freak out the day before a deadline.
Well, I WILL post more this week, I will, but for now, I need to run. I just thought I would get the essential update out of the way.
=)
